Dear Colleagues,
The European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ESTES) was founded on 25 May 2007 in Graz following the merging of EATES (European Association for Trauma & Emergency Surgery) and ETS (European Trauma Society), and was registered in Brussels on 9 November 2007. As a result, a new society emerged with 7,060 members, and 16 national societies as institutional members.
The 10th European Congress of Trauma & Emergency
Surgery, will be organized in Antalya, 13-17 May 2009. We cordially invite you
to the Turkish Riviera to experience true Turkish hospitality. Our aim is to
organize a very active program of high scientific content featuring worldwide
renowned experts as well as postgraduate courses. All participants will have the
opportunity to actively participate in all discussion forums. We will build upon
our valuable experience from the 2002 EATES meeting in Istanbul.
The Congress will be held in the Sungate Port Royal Hotel, a facility with
tremendous experience and professional capability in the organization of
meetings of such high caliber. A main advantage is for the participants to be
accommodated in the meeting hotel or in a nearby hotel with shuttle services,
with no concerns about transport to and from the Congress events. Accommodation
in the hosting facility also offers participants cost benefits under the all-inclusive
Congress packages.
On behalf of the Turkish Association of Trauma and Emergency Surgery, we look
forward to welcoming you to Turkiye to participate in this prestigious and
promising scientific event.
Korhan Taviloglu
Congress President
